Acceptable Use Policy

Overview

This Acceptable Use Policy governs how you may use WhisperingByte, our AI text to speech, voice, music and audio generation services. It applies to every account, including free accounts and API access, and forms part of our Terms of Service.

Prohibited content

You may not use the service to create, upload or distribute content that is unlawful, that infringes another person or organisation's intellectual property rights, that is defamatory, that harasses or threatens any person, that sexualises minors, that promotes violence or self harm, or that is designed to deceive people about the identity of a speaker.

Voice cloning and likeness

You may only clone, imitate or reproduce a voice where you are the speaker or where you hold documented, informed and revocable consent from the speaker. You must not use the service to impersonate any real person, brand or public figure, or to create audio intended to mislead listeners about who is speaking.

Fraud, spam and security

You may not use generated audio for fraud, social engineering, phishing, robocalling, unsolicited bulk messaging, or attempts to bypass voice authentication systems. You may not probe, scan, overload or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service or to other users' data.

Technical limits

You may not resell raw model access, share API credentials, circumvent character allowances or rate limits, or use automated means to extract our voice library.

Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate access, remove content, or refuse further service. Serious violations may be reported to the relevant authorities. Where a violation is minor and correctable we will normally contact you first.

Report suspected misuse to our support team through the contact page. Include the account, the audio in question and any supporting information.
