API Terms of Use

Scope

These API Terms of Use apply to programmatic access to WhisperingByte through our public API endpoints and API keys. They supplement, and do not replace, our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.

API keys

API keys are issued to a single account and identify that account on every request. You are responsible for keeping keys confidential, for all activity performed with your keys, and for revoking a key promptly if it may have been exposed. Keys must not be embedded in client side code, public repositories or distributed applications.

Usage, quotas and rate limits

API usage consumes the character allowance of your plan and is subject to the rate limits attached to that plan. We may throttle, queue or reject requests that exceed those limits or that place unreasonable load on the service. Quotas and limits for each plan are shown on the pricing page and in your account.

Permitted use

You may integrate generated audio into your own products and workflows in accordance with the licence granted in our Terms of Service. You must not resell raw model access, present the API as your own generation infrastructure, or use the API to build a competing text to speech or voice generation service.

Availability and changes

The API is provided on an as available basis. We may add, change, deprecate or remove endpoints, parameters, models and voices. Where a change is likely to break existing integrations we will make reasonable efforts to give advance notice through the account or the website.

Data and content

You are responsible for the text and audio you submit and for holding the rights and consents required for it. Requests and generated output are processed to deliver and support the service as described in our Privacy Policy.

Suspension

We may suspend or revoke API access for non payment, for security reasons, or for breach of these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.
